World's First Efi Egpu Card For Mac
We are finally, after much work and investment, offering these cards to the community. We are starting with the cream of the crop, a GTX 1080Ti from EVGA. When used with a 6,1 nMP and OSX 10.13.4 or later you have original Mac Magic here. It 'Just Works'. You type a simple string into the terminal and install the Nvidia Web Driver before you plug in the card. After that, you boot the machine.
Your eGPU display boots right into OSX. Feel like developing VR or gaming in Windows 10? No problem. Hold 'Option' at boot and swap into that OS. You are almost unaware of the card's presence, it works like a built in display. You will need to install Window's drivers as well, but BINGO, you'll be up and running. As I write this, 3 people on the planet have been able to do this. MVC, Netkas, and Barefeats Labs. For more than a year we have been the only ones.
Join the very limited club and stretch your 6,1's legs. Works great with Oculus Rift or Far Cry 5.
Currently these cards work perfectly on nMP 6,1 and a few other Macs. We would like first batch to go to 6,1 owners. You will need to have an enclosure that supports this card, it requires some power.
Note, if you have run any of the eGPU hacks, cracks, patches , or scripts from the various eGPU sites you will need to remove them all or do a fresh install. The hacks bog down your system and make problems for the cards.
First few sales will be US only, please get in touch and confirm your system. Please ask questions via email before purchase. We want first ones to be trouble free.
You will need a Mac Pro 6,1 with a TB2 or TB3 enclosure with sufficient power to support these cards. (Tested and functional in Razor Core, Sonnet Echo Express, and Akitio Node)
Keep in mind that Apple may release firmware or drivers that impact functionality. Don't run updates until you check on our blog or Forums. When we have a fix, we will let you know.
It is likely that these cards will work perfectly on 2016 MBP 13' with function keys, 2011 iMac 27' and Mini 2014 as they have in our testing. In other Macs they may require tweaks of some sort, or may require us to write a new ROM.
But if you want a Plug & Play solution with an Nvidia eGPU that gets you into your task, not being a tester, this is the only real choice.
US sales only for first batch. First shipments on June 15th. Each card has unique UUID, continued support dependent on this UUID remaining exclusive.

The first cards will be targeted for Mac Pro 6,1, allowing easy eGPU in High Sierra and Windows 10, as Barefeats is about to confirm. Canon ip2700 series driver for mac. I believe that card will also work in Macbook Air 2015 as well, and possibly a few others.
Welcome, William Kaminski. Maybe I can help you. Usually when you install a video card in your Mac Pro 5,1 and it doesn't show the loading screen or anything (black screen) that means that the video drivers haven't loaded yet. Might I ask what OS do you have installed on your Mac Pro 5,1 ?? Should be High Sierra or Mojave for best results. According to Other World Computing, it works, but they say only in an eGPU or in a PC. Maybe yes, press the button. Also reset the smc/pmu and zap pram as well. Might help to clear some stuff out. Nice looking card btw.
how to reset smc/pmu:: shut down Mac pro, disconnect power cord, hold down power button for about 45 seconds, release finger from button and press power button to start up. How to zap pram: on Startup hold down Apple/Cloverleaf/Command, Option, P and R keys all together for 3 chimes, then release and let mac boot up as per usual. Otherwise, you may have to consider getting the card flashed to a Mac version. Your video card should be in the bottom x16 PCI slot. The additional 6 pin connector is only if you want to overclock the card. Ohhh..and you won't get a boot screen on this card, it should work if you're willing to be patient. You could try putting your old card in, assuming it's Metal compatible (Yeah----Mojave will check for that, along with other stuff, and if it doesn't like the answer it gets..it doesn't install or work, officially) and..see if you can upgrade to Mojave, or at least High Sierra. If you already have High Sierra (10.13??) then we're done here
good luck to you
